And so it begins.....
Hello blog hogs, time for an update in the rocky life of me....Went to see the Doc today, who had a wrist bandage on...Suspicious...too much u know what that is Doc!....anyway, told him my worries and he said - Best not to drink when depressed!....WTF? I hav'nt drank Alcohol for almost 6 years, probably more...I swear some people turn a deaf ear when they want to....So anyway, told him about my emotions rolling up and down like a broken roller coaster, and he prescribed me 20mg Anti depressants and to go back in 4 weeks, also giving me info on Anger management...WHY??? I got pissed off once severley in the last month, I am not a raging beast all the time...Jeesh!, anyway, I will start on these and see what happens, the label states...May not see any results for 2 weeks....Oh dear!...Still I still have my show to keep the spirits up, and when Leaky is here doing the show, it's like I did'nt have any worries in the world!
BARGAIN!....Went to the butchers today and bought 12 lamb chops ( Minted ), and 2 huge Rump Steaks - All for £10!!!!....Amazing, that will keep us fed for ages!...superb deals!.....
Anyway had to tell you about that, I was all excited.
And here for the whole world to see is my daft animal of a pet, Felix....

OK, so we all have the internet....well I bloody did'nt yesterday from 3pm until 2pm today!...And what winds me up is, I am a PC engineer by trade, and I phone up BT knowing what the problem is, saying the fault was at their exchange, but no, they went on and on and on about it's possibly the modem at fault and need to unplug it and re-install the drivers, NO! IDIOTS!, it's YOUR end at fault not mine!...I DO know what I am talking about you ignorant bunch of Jack Asses!!!......So eventually I get through to the Faults department, as the other place I must have spoken with was more than likely positioned in Outer Mongolia!!!!....What happened to the British speaking, completley understandable switchboard operators that DON'T read from a script, and then freak out when you detour from their set pattern of words set before them!!?!?!?! Now I am no racist, but please, get the good ol British help lines back in Britian.....The first person I spoke to could have been speaking Swahili....never mind, it's back now and I am blogging again...thats the main thing.
I have been busy creating new jingles for the radio show most of the day, and am pretty pleased with the results, even if I do say so myself...I am sure if you tune into the show tomorrow night, you too will enjoy them.
Right thats it for me, I might have to make a new Blog specificly for the show perhaps?...Let me know if thats a good idea.
And now this....
Deep in the pools of subterranean caves in Mexico, there swims a totally blind fish, Astyanax mexicanus, or Blind Cavefish. Their most curious feature is not the ability to dart around the pitch black waters catching prey without bumping into things, but the question of…what happened to their eyes?
The answer is as follows....
The October 2004 edition of The Journal, reported on a study that has identified two genes, with the quirky names of "sonic hedgehog", or shh, and the "tiggy winkle hedgehog", or thh. These genes have proven to scientists, that they hold a crucial role in the development of the eye lens, which then affects any development of an iris, pupil, etc. For example, when a human loses function of the shh gene, it can cause them to develop a single, large eye, making the prospect of a Cyclops in ancient times, much more real. The study revealed that excessive activity by the hedgehog genes in the embryo cavefish’s developing eye, caused it to deteriorate and "die", leaving the mature fish with basically an empty socket, and a flap of skin over it. Previous to this, opinion on why cave dwelling animals lacked sight, was heavily weighted in favor of regressive development of features the animal/fish no longer needed. Now, it is known that there is a key, which in experiments has proven to affect the eyesight of normal fish. Researchers involved in the latest project, anticipate that their findings will lead to treatment of a number of eye conditions in humans, relating to development of the lens.
Is'nt the world an interesting place?....

Doesn't exactly instill you with confidence when you go to a doctor for help and advice, when all they do is try and pass you off with pills, pills and more pills.
I'm sure that getting stuck into your broadcasting is a far better medicine!
(sounding pretty good by the way)
