The Tide Is Turning.....
Greetings my fellow blog addicts, here I am with another report on the life of a depressive.....which I have to say, is'nt so depressive at the moment, thats right, something is happening to me, I am feeling an eerie calm within me, like the beast is being locked away unable to surface...and by the beast I mean my temper for all you gutter minds out there...Oh wait...I'm one of those too! ;)
Since I went on a rampage a couple of weeks back, I have not even risen to anything to make me angry, it's scary, maybe it's the tablets I am on, although low dosage, maybe they are caging the beast within....but for how long??....I have considered anger managment as an alternate solution and will be looking into that, I should have gone years ago, but when you scare yourself with an outburst, thats the time to think hard.....
So, it looks like there will be calm after the storm after all, which is really encouraging....I got my friends support which is brilliant, I have you guys on here being very encouraging and supportive - much love you all for that....it makes the difference...
So hows my relationship?....Ummmmm....stale, but working on it....David is precious and deserves both Mommy and Daddy in the same house....it's going to be a long road and I don't know whats at the end of that road, but one way or another, we will do whats best for David in the long run....
Wow, this is turning out to be quite a long blog today, and not even the slightest hint of a rant??...Uh oh....MUA HA HA HA HA, heres one!!
Wanting to cancel our Sky multiroom package yesterday I decided to ring Sky and tell them to drop the second subscription, so I ring and I get the usual "thankyou for calling Sky, our operators are busy at the moment but will answer your call shortly"....ok I thought and continued to hold, watching a program on TV at the same time, not really taking in what the recorded messages were waffling on about...then the show ended and I checked how long I had been on hold - 20 minutes!!!!! and still nobody had answered the bloody call, and it was'nt even 0800 number so bet your bottom dollar I will be billed for a call that did'nt even put me through to a live operator....thats bad customer service!!! Was'nt a happy pea about that I can tell you....still will try again today and tell them that 20 minutes is taking the piss......
And now it's time for the return of the strange but true....I know you have all missed it....
The first ketchup recipe was printed in Elizabeth Smith’s The Compleat Housewife, in 1727, but alas, it was still anemic. There were no red fruits of the vine. But in 1812, a recipe for tomato ketchup appeared in the Nova Scotia cookbook of a transplanted American, who called it “love apple” ketchup. Why didn’t he publish that precocious recipe “at home”? Because up until the early 1800s, tomatoes were thought to be poisonous. Not until Colonel Robert Johnson ate an entire basket of them on the courthouse steps in Salem, New Jersey on Sept.26, 1820, and survived, did they gain acceptance as a food.
and finally
